Maddie and I met at work about ten years ago, and what started as quick chats in the stock room turned into one of the most important friendships of my life. We've been through late nights, big life changes, laughter, and a few tears - through it all, i've watched her grow into the amazing woman she is today. Seeing her find someone who truly sees and loves her for all of that, in David, has been incredibly special. Some of my favorite memories with Maddie were our late night walks in Grand Rapids, where we walked side by side and were able to joke, gossip, and support one another. This makes it truly special for me to continue to walk by her side and support her as she begins this next journey with David.

Erin - Step-Sister Extraordinaire I’ve had the honor of being Maddie’s favorite sibling since elementary school, when fate (and our parents) made us step-siblings. Our childhood was spent making truly bizarre videos on the family Mac and belting out Karaoke Revolution hits like we were destined for fame (we weren’t, but we tried). I’m so excited to celebrate with her and can confirm she’s found her perfect partner in David! They couldn’t be a better match.

The bride's future sister-in-law thanks to Thomas (but honestly, it already feels official). From day one, Maddie has welcomed me into the family and has been such a light to everyone around her. I can't believe we are now both experiencing our bridal eras together!! Being asked to stand by her side was the easiest yes, and I can't wait to celebrate Maddie and David and all the love surrounding this special day!

I'm David's baby sister, and growing up, I always wished for a sister of my own. But David was always the coolest person I knew. As kids, we made music videos, made little movies, and dressed up in costumes. He's always had a spark. I used to think, it's going to take someone really special to match my brothers energy. And when I met Maddie, I knew she was the star David had been waiting for. Maddie is an amazing match for my brother. She's kind, funny, and undeniably beautiful, which is everything my brother needs. She is everything I could ask for in a sister. I'm beyond excited to watch them grow together, and I can't wait to see what life brings them!

I've known Maddie for over a decade now. We first met while working at a shoe store, where our friendship was formed over countless shifts, shared laughs, and the kind of conversations that only happen when you're working 10 hour days in a row. Over the years, I've had the absolute pleasure of watching her grow into the strong, grounded, and deeply compassionate woman she is today. Watching her relationship with David has been a personal inspiration for me. The love they share is one built on mutual respect, unwavering support, and genuine joy in one another's presence. Being a part of their journey and standing beside Maddie on this special day is such an honor- and a reminder that real love, the kind that makes you believe in soulmates, is out there.

I met Maddie while living in the dorms during our freshman year at Grand Valley, and it's crazy to me that was almost 11 years ago! We were rebellious teens that thought we were invincible, we definitely weren't, but we sure kept things interesting! Since then, we've seen each other go through many phases of life. From 17 and barely being adults, to our semi independent early twenties with the ups and downs of finding ourselves and figuring it all out, and finally to two women that have settled down with great partners and are planning our futures! I'm so blessed to have Maddie as one of my closest friends after all these years and David is such an amazing match for her. She will be an absolutely gorgeous bride and I cannot wait to watch her walk down the aisle!

I met David freshman year of high school, when we had nearly the exact same schedule. I can hardly recall a day since when we haven’t talked, whether it be about sports, music, movies, or anything else. David is honest and kind, someone I trust completely, who’s as capable of giving thoughtful advice as he is sharing obscure trivia. But in all the time I’ve known him, I’ve never seen him happier than he’s been since he met Maddie. Maddie brings out the best in David, and their love for and commitment to one another has shaped David into the man he is today. I’m thrilled to join with them as they celebrate the start of their next chapter in life!

David and I have been best friends since first grade, back when we first bonded over Star Wars. We’ve had our ups and downs over the years (don’t bring up the Spider-Man debate), and even lived together for a bit down in Tally. It means a lot to be part of David’s wedding—especially since he was there for mine

David and I go way back—we’ve known each other since first grade, but it wasn’t until after high school that we really became close. Since then, it’s been a steady mix of golf rounds (where we’re equally average, which makes it way more fun), football Sundays, and a friendship I really value. I’m honored to be part of his wedding, and I’m proud to call him one of my closest friends.

I’ve known David since first grade, and from the very beginning, he’s been like a brother to me. Over the years, we’ve shared a lot—laughs, late-night conversations, and an unhealthy obsession with board games (don’t ask who usually wins, but it’s probably me). Being asked to stand by his side as a groomsman is an honor I don’t take lightly. He’s always been there for me, and I’m proud to be there for him on one of the biggest days of his life.

We met back in freshman year, and from the start, I knew this guy was someone I could be real with. Over the years, our friendship’s been built on honesty, loyalty, and a lot of conversations where I gave him the advice he needed, whether he wanted to hear it or not. I’ve always respected how he shows up for the people he cares about, and it means a lot to be one of the people standing beside him as he takes this next step

David and I met at football camp freshman year of high school—pretty sure he was a little scared of me at first. We got to know each other better over the next few years, but we really got close after graduation when we were the only two from our class who didn’t head off to college right away. A lot of good memories from that time. I’m seriously honored to be part of this and couldn’t be more excited for David and Maddie

Being friends with someone who shares your name definitely keeps things interesting. To this day, we still haven’t settled who’s Dave and who’s David—but we’ve learned to embrace the confusion. Beyond that, our friendship’s been full of laughs, late-night conversations, and at least one major life influence: I have him to thank (or blame) for turning me into a full-blown cat person. No matter what’s going on, he’s always been there for me, and I’m honored to be standing by his side for something this meaningful.
